ESG: La Doria Receives Climate Change Rating of B from Carbon Disclosure Project
The leading company in the production of tomato derivatives, sauces, pulses, and private label fruit juices has received a B rating, significantly improving on its previous D rating.
This recognition marks another step forward in the company’s sustainability journey and its commitment to environmental protection.
Angri (SA), March 13, 2025 – La Doria, a leading Group in the production of tomato derivatives, sauces, pulses, and fruit juices for major retailers, announces that it has received a B rating for climate change from CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), acknowledging the company’s commitment to combating climate change and reducing the environmental impact of its operations.
CDP is an international non-profit organization that provides businesses, local authorities, governments, and investors with a global environmental disclosure system. The Carbon Disclosure Project evaluates corporate sustainability strategies, climate risk management, the presence of sustainability governance, and the transparency and quality of environmental reporting.
CDP’s latest assessment upgraded La Doria from a D to a B rating, confirming the company’s increasing commitment to proactive climate management and a high level of transparency in environmental reporting. A key milestone in this journey was the 2024 validation by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) of La Doria’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets for 2031. SBTi is a global body that enables companies to set ambitious emissions reduction goals aligned with the latest climate science.
The rating improvement further confirms La Doria’s dedication, also demonstrated by significant investments in innovative technologies aimed at reducing environmental impact. Over the years, the company has implemented major projects to optimize energy consumption and increase the use of renewable energy sources at its production facilities.
Antonio Ferraioli, CEO and Chairman of La Doria, commented:
“We are proud of this recognition, which confirms our tangible commitment to sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of our operations. Fighting climate change is one of the most crucial challenges of our time, and at La Doria, we work continuously to adopt innovative and responsible solutions with the goal of ensuring a more sustainable future.
