Environmental impacts of production
Cogeneration and photovoltaic plants
Reducing the environmental impacts of production and monitoring them through certified environmental management systems are at the heart of La Doria’s Environmental Policy.
The commitment to environmental protection is realised by adhering to the UNI ISO 14001:2004 standard for all production plants, with development projects and the adoption of new technologies aimed at safeguarding the environment.
With the aim of increasing energy efficiency, the La Doria Group has invested in high-efficiency cogeneration plants at its Angri and Parma plants and in two photovoltaic plants at its Sarno and Fisciano plants. These plants are a key resource for the company, as they can provide around 43% of the electricity needed to run its business.
The commitment to energy efficiency and the continuous search for new opportunities has enabled the company to achieve CO2 savings of 10.8% by 2022.

Human rights and responsibility in the supply chain
La Doria strives to ensure that all people who work with the Group-employees, partners, suppliers-can operate in a social environment of integrity, one that not only respects differences but also builds on them by spreading a true culture of integrity throughout the supply chain.
We support farmers both in the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices and in the development of specific training and awareness paths with the aim of spreading a culture of sustainability within the supply chain.
Respect for proper working conditions and workers’ rights are requirements that La Doria Group demands of all its suppliers and that it periodically verifies firsthand. At the time of selection, all suppliers are also asked to adhere to the company’s Code of Ethics and to commit to ensuring compliance.
Packaging Sustainability
Self-production, recycling, reduction
The categories of packaging used in La Doria are all recyclable: these are tinplate boxes, glass containers, and polybags.
The most important commitment to packaging sustainability is the self-production of a substantial portion of the tinplate boxes, the most widely used and 100% infinitely recyclable pack.
In 2022, in the Sarno and Angri plants, about 97.5% of the entire requirement for tinplate boxes was realized, reducing emissions due to packaging handling.
La Doria contributes to the development of the circular economy through purchases of packaging material from renewable sources, reuse and recycled or recyclable materials, which in turn are based on circular production chains for production and consumption aspects.
In recent years, projects have been completed that included the elimination of secondary plastic packaging and the replacement of plastic clusters with certified cardboard.
Optimization and logistic efficiency
For a more sustainable transportation
Logistics organization is increasingly central to ensuring reliability, cost reduction and environmental impacts related to the transportation of raw materials, semi-finished goods and products.
With this in mind, we constantly strive to make all transportation at our charge more sustainable, prioritizing the shipment of finished products from the final production sites, reducing the movement of materials and semi-finished products between plants, limiting
the use of external warehouses.
The proximity of La Doria’s plants to the ports of Naples and Salerno is also a feature that the Group has decided to exploit in order to increase intermodal transport and gradually reduce road travel.
