La Doria reaffirms its commitment to UNHCR: a new recognition in 2026

This year once again, La Doria is among the 230 companies in Italy recognized by the UNHCR – the United Nations Refugee Agency – as part of the “Welcome. Working for Refugee Integration” programme. The award ceremony took place yesterday, 18 June, in Rome, with the participation of the Company.

This recognition reflects the continuity of a journey that, over the years, has evolved and strengthened, translating into tangible opportunities. Since joining the programme, we have progressively built an inclusion model grounded in concrete experience.

To date, we have provided employment opportunities to 25 people with international protection or seeking asylum, who have found in La Doria an environment where they can develop both professionally and personally.

Launched in 2022 as a pilot project, this integration pathway has gradually become more structured, enabling us to become a more open and responsible organization, to value diverse skills, and to contribute to the social fabric of the communities in which we operate.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Antonio Ferraioli, commented:
“In a global context where the number of people forced to flee conflict and persecution remains high, the Welcome programme continues to prove an effective tool to foster labour market inclusion in Italy and we are proud to be part of it. Over time, we have seen how employment can be a real driver of integration and independence. We will therefore continue to support initiatives that generate positive impact, strengthening the link between business growth and social responsibility.”
